As I don’t have much to update today, I thought of writing a one liner review of the blogs I read regularly:
General Blogs
1. Nandini’s Niche
Witty writing style, sharp observations, her posts on feminism offer excellent material for debates, PLUS I get to know more about what’s happening in my SIL’s life and mind
2. Gillette’s Journal
Sometimes offers detailed opinions on geeky topics like fonts but otherwise is a good and funny read with most of his posts dripping with sarcasm
3. Sayesha on the Rocks
Honest and straight from the heart, she has a refreshingly simple and fun writing style. Comes across as a great person to hang out with
4. Juice
A bindass girl with a jet-set lifestyle, total fashionista - I absolutely enjoy her posts on shopping and designer shoes and clothes and of course Brendan
5. Ram Pyari
Seems like a honest, hard working girl, obsessed with getting good grades and meeting goals. Reminds me of myself in my school and college years.
Cooking/Food Blogs
6. Bong Mom
Great recipes (even the non-Bengali ones are really good), humorous writing style
7. eCurry
I use this blog more for non-desi recipes and non-main dishes e.g. appetizers, desserts, jams etc
8. One Hot Stove
Excellent vegetarian recipes, a very talented girl with a flair for writing, cooking, knitting etc. etc. Seems like a really nice person at heart
9. Aayi’s Recipes
Good source for everyday food – simple sabzis, dose, parathe etc. Lots of authentic Konkani recipes but I don’t use those as they are too elaborate for me – I am the jhatpat cook.
10. Zaiqa
Excellent Hyderabadi cuisine, most of my meat recipes come from here
11. Cooking is my passion
Cake designer and entrepreneur from Malaysia. Inspires me by how hard she works and what she has managed to achieve in her life by just believing in her talent and working hard.
12. Masak-Masak
Detailed reviews of Malaysian restaurants with mouth watering photos. I just look at the photos and gain a few pounds
Backup Blogs (I read these when the above blogs have no updates)
1. Just a Mother of Two
Seemed interesting initially but is too emotional and “chicken-soupy” for my kind
2. Deep Thought
Overall time pass to read but we don't see eye to eye on some issues
