Movies etc

Watched a few movies recently - so here are my quick reviews:

1. I Love You Man (English): Awesome movie! Hilarious, endearing, smart - I totally loved it! A must-watch.


2. New York (Hindi): Okay for a one-time watch. Over the top portrayal of 9/11 and its aftermath but Katrina Kaif looks gorgeous as usual and you can watch the movie just for her.


3. Mi Shivaji Raje Boltoy (Marathi): So awful it was funny! Ridiculous scenes of how the "marathi manus" is treated in amchi Mumbai.. and I cannot get Mahesh Manjrekar's fake horseback riding out of my mind!


4. Defiance (English): Nice watch - it has Daniel Craig after all..


5. Watchmen (English): Seemed like a confused copy of V For Vendetta, which I had loved. This one was just all over the place.

Random -

1. Have you seen the Verizon-Blackberry ad with the "paperweight mode" concept? If I was the Blackberry CEO - I would have sacked the Marketing head or whoever is responsible for the deal with Verizon. How can you have a tie-up with a company which makes fun of you in its ad? Don't you have a say in the marketing campaign? Am I missing something here?
   
   
2. Stumbled on this blog (http://masak-masak.blogspot.com/) while researching for some Malaysian recipes.. Aah - Just looking at the pics made me gain a few pounds!
   
   
3. House hunting is a painful time-consuming frustrating process - unless you have an unlimited budget I guess..
   
   
4. I keep hearing about so many people having twins nowadays - it's so common now. Ofcourse a big chunk of these are celebrities who end up having babies in their 40s or so and then go through treatments etc. (and I get to read all this thanks to educational magazines like People, Glamour but that's besides the point). But then I also hear about so many women having multiple births naturally. I just think that it's basic evolution theory and that Mother Nature is learning to be more productive. I mean, why go through all those 9 months of trouble and have just one baby, why not more and get it all done in one shot. Maybe in another hundred or so years, having twins/triplets would be the norm and humans would also have a litter like cats and dogs :))
